Spring Transfer Orientation

  • Overview

    Spring Transfer Orientation is a 1-day program designed for new transfer students beginning their studies at UL Lafayette during Spring Semester. During Orientation, students will have the opportunity to meet with other incoming students, learn about important university resources, discuss the transfer credit articulation process, and if needed meet with an academic advisor in preparation of registering for classes.

    Orientation Fee

    The fee for Transfer Student Orientation is $35.00 and includes all Orientation program materials, lunch, a university course catalog CD, program facilitation, and a Ragin' Cajun spirit shirt. Your orientation fee must be paid online at the time of registration. You can pay using a Credit Card (MasterCard, American Express, Discover) or with an electronic check.

     

    Orientation Registration

     

    Registration is currently unavailable for Spring Transfer Orientation. Newly admitted students will receive information in mid-October about registration procedures for Spring Transfer Orientation.

     

    Students who meet with their Academic Advisor before Orientation

    Transfer Students will receive the name of their academic advisor in their Orientation invitation.  We encourage Transfer Students to meet with their academic advisor to be cleared to register for classes.  Once you meet with your academic advisor, you can click HERE to register for Orientation. You will need your university username and password (sent in your Orientation invitation).

     

    Students who wish to meet with their Academic Advisor during Orientation

    Transfer Students wishing to meet with an academic advisor during Transfer Orientation can call the Office of Orientation at 337-482-1391 to schedule their Orientation.  You will need to log-in to ULink to pay your Orientation fee prior to attending Orientation.

  • Parking

    Parking is available in Lot 15, located on the corner of Girard Park Circle & E. St. Mary Blvd. 

     

    Check-In Time & Location

    Check-In runs from 8:30 AM - 9:15 AM in the Student Union Ballroom (Building 31 on Campus Map).

     

    Program Length

    Orientation runs from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
