Overview
Parent Orientation is designed to assist parents understanding of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, its academic programs, and its student services. In addition, the program is structured to help you understand the transition of your student and how you can best support your student through those transitions.
Parent Orientation occurs on the first day of our two-day Orientation sessions, and the same day as our regularly scheduled Spring & Summer Session Orientation. Parents can attend Parent Orientation at the same time as their student, or during a different session.
Parent Orientation Fee
There is no additional fee for Parent Orientation. However, parents will need to pay for lunch if they wish to eat on campus. Tickets can be purchased for $6.00 during Parent Orientation Check-In.
Overnight Accommodations
We do not have on-campus accommodations for Parents. Please see our More Important Information section for a list of local hotels and rates.
Registering for Parent Orientation
Registration is now available for Spring 2012 Parent Orientation. Check back in February 2012 for Summer & Fall Parent Orientation.
